Products I Love

Here are the products I'm loving right now.
I wasn’t a believer in the magic of using a primer until I tried this product. Becca Cosmetics uses backlit technology that helps blur, filter, and diffuse your skin to make it look illuminated. This primer creates a smooth canvas for applying makeup while giving you the appearance of having a glow from within.
Too-Faced is one of my favorite makeup brands so there is no surprise that I love the Born This Way Foundation. I wear the color swan. I like this foundation because it is oil free and has a medium coverage that is buildable while still looking natural on the skin.
There is a good reason why this concealer is a cult classic. I have tried almost every concealer under the sun and haven’t come across one that I like more than Tarte Shape Tape. I use the color fair neutral under my eyes to help brighten, smooth, and give my skin a firmer, more lifted look. Shape Tape is 100% Vegan, and nourishes the under eye with mango seed and shea butters making it so that the formula doesn’t crease or flake throughout the day.
Like the Shape Tape concealer, I haven’t used a different setting powder since trying the Laura Mercier one. I use this setting powder in translucent that is perfect for fair to medium skin tones. This powder also comes in medium deep. What I like about this setting powder is that it locks in my makeup for 12 hours without setting into fine lines and pores. The other plus of this product is that it has a no-flashback formula that is perfect for photos to blur the look of imperfections without looking cakey.
The first thought I had when I used this bronzer is, “I love the smell!” Enriched with 100% coco powder, this bronzer is a medium matte buildable tan that lasts for eight hours of wear. I like that its buildable and gives my skin a natural looking tan glow to highlight my cheekbones, nose, and shape around my face on my forehead and chin.
One of the most important features on your face is your eyebrows. The eyebrows shape how the rest of your face looks. I love Benefit Cosmetics and this eyebrow pencil did not disappoint. It is super easy to use, even if you’re not a brow expert. There are 12 shades of this pencil that can flatter every hair color. The pencil features a retractable, non-sharp tip that shapes, defines, and fills in your brows.
For years now I have been a drugstore mascara fan. Mascara was a product I was hesitant to spend extra money on thinking it would be the same as any expensive brand. After trying this Too Faced formula I see the difference in quality, realizing some formulas are more equal than others. This paraben free mascara targets volume, and multidimensional defined lashes. I have found that this mascara does not only leave my lashes looking fuller and defined, the curl and dramatic full lash look lasts throughout the day looking like I just applied my makeup. This is the biggest difference I have discovered when comparing to drug store formulas that fade through the day.
I don’t wear lip liner often but when I do this Marc Jacobs Poutliner is my go-to. I use the color nude(ist) that is neutral enough to go with any lipstick. This is a collagen-infused long wear gel lip liner pencil that defines and shapes your lips, creating the perfect lasting canvas for any lip color. The collagen helps fill in lines and prevent bleeding, while the gel formula makes it easy to apply flawlessly for all day wear.
This is a lipstick that I will wear for any occasion. I wear the color Strip Search that is a soft warm pink. What I like most about this formula is that it is paraben, sulfate, and phthalates free. The lipstick is richly pigmented while still applying to the lips creamy, leaving them feeling balmy and hydrated. The formula is coco-butter infused for a rich, comfortable wear.
Lip masks are becoming a more popular item on the makeup scene. My lips are dry and I have the tendency to lick them throughout the day making them even more dehydrated. If I put this lip mask on at night I wake up with my lips feeling smoother and suppler overnight. This product is ideal for anyone who has dry lips and fine lines.
I started using this correcting serum when I wanted my skin to look flawless without having a full face of foundation on. This is a triple-swirled helix serum that color-corrects, brightens, and covers the skins imperfections. The green tone instantly neutralizes redness and conceals blemishes. The lavender tone counteracts sallow undertones for a vibrant, energized look and the peach tone brightens, illuminates and helps diminish the appearance of sun spots.
One product that I kept hearing about adding to my skin care routine was a good vitamin C serum. This Vitamin C serum is also blended with Botanical Hyaluronic Acid and Vitamin E to target signs of aging including brightness, firmness, fine lines, wrinkles, dark spots, and sun spots. I have only been using this product for a few weeks but I’ve already noticed a difference in my skin looking brighter and fresher. I’ve also experienced less breakouts and seen the improvement of tone and clarity in my skin.
Face Sunscreen is a must to add to your skincare routine. The problem for me was finding a sunscreen that didn’t irritate my sensitive skin while still being effective as a sun protector. This product helps protect the skin from harmful UVA and UVB rays. It is fragrance free and includes sodium hyaluronate to moisturize while lactic acid refines the skin to clear pores and reduce shine. This product won’t irritate or break out the skin if you are acne prone.
I recently began to use Tula products to see what all the hype was about and I can tell you confidently now that I understand the popularity of this brand. TULA uses probiotics in their products to help lock in moisture and sooth the appearance of inflammation. This product uses superfoods and they are a non-toxic and cruelty free brand. The cream gives me an even looking skin tone and helps brighten the appearance of my skin giving me a glow. I like that I can use this cream for day and night instead of buying two separate products.
There is a reason why this cleanser is called the cult classic. What I love most about this product is that it truly removes makeup while cleansing. It is nice for those nights you’re feeling especially tired while getting ready for bed and want to easily remove all your makeup. This is a probiotic gel cleanser that goes deep into your pores to help remove impurities without stripping or over-drying skin.
I have a variety of face masks that I use to target different issues in my skin. I use this watermelon mask to help smooth my skin and make it look more radiant. This mask smells amazing and is infused with hyaluronic acid and AHAs that gently exfoliate and refine the look of pores.
I use this charcoal mud mask to help clear my skin when I get breakouts. The mask is made up of charcoal, a blend of six acids, and k-17 clay. The activated-x charcoal helps lift dirt, toxins, and excess oil to purify the pores. The Super 6 Acid Blend helps loosen dead skin cells to exfoliate and sweep them away. After using this mask, I always see a noticeable improvement of my breakout problem areas on the skin.
This peel off mask is cruelty free, and can be used on all skin types. It is formulated without parabens, sulfates, phalates, or silicones. The key ingredients in this mask are pearl and ruby to help brighten dullness, rose water to boost elasticity and calm irritation, and hyaluronic acid to hydrate and moisturize. This mask has a beautiful holographic look to it and is very easy to peel off once completely dry.
Hair masks can be a hassle and difficult to remember to use. I like this hair mask because it is a dry mask, so it is easy to quickly spray it on your hair before going to bed. The smell of this mask is amazing. I often times like to put on this mask for the smell of it alone. This leave-in dry treatment repairs and softens your hair using bond building technology without having to wash or restyle your hair after using. This mask can be used on straight, wavy, curly, and coily hair that is a fine, medium, or thick texture.
